Taiwo Oyedele, the chairman of the Presidential Fiscal Policy and Tax Reforms Committee, has urged Nigerians to pray that the nation's refineries do not operate.



He claimed that Nigeria might have the world's most expensive gasoline per liter.


Oyedele gave a speech at The Platform's Independence Day celebration on Monday in Lagos.



If Nigerian refineries generate petroleum, he claimed that management inefficiencies might lead to the worst scenario.


"Nigerians would claim that everything would be perfect if only our refineries were operating. That couldn't be further from the truth.


Nigerians should actually band together and ask
